Hello again!
With everything going on the PLC and Troop Leadership are working hard to provide a safe, fun filled, boy led program this fall. Our theme is a “Soft Opening” meaning we are not jumping back into regular meetings and outings until the time appears to be right, we will be flexible. New normal will look like this for now:
COVID Precautions at activities: Don’t come if sick, have a temperature, or been exposed to someone sick. Wear a mask, social distance, wash hands and use sanitizer.
Transportation: Parents bring and pick up your scout to activities. No Troop organized carpools. Your welcome to stay or participate!
Campouts: Not yet, hopefully soon.
Troop Bag Embroidery: Want to have your name embroidered on your Troop 818 Bag? It’s $10, contact Cyclone patrol’s Blake Mogalion@ [email protected] as he is leading this effort. CC his father Drew @ [email protected] for YPT purposes.
Troop shirts have arrived!!! Mrs. Whitney will e-mail pick up and payment instructions soon.
FALL SCHEDULE:
Monday 8-10-20 Geo-Cashing Activity – Gather at the Reach 11/Horse Lovers Park trail-head on the East side of Tatum, between Mayo and Union Hills. Arrive @ 6:30PM finished and gone by 8:00PM. Bring (2) liters of water.
8-17-20 – No Meeting.
Monday 8-24-20 Sunset Hike and Photography: Gather at Dreamy Draw Park off Northern and the 51 @ 6:30PM to 8:00/8:30ish.. Hike to the top of a peak,enjoy the sunset, ASPL Nick Whitney will be teaching and demonstrating photography techniques. Hike down in the dark. Bring (2) liters of water,camera or phone (optional)flashlight. Parents drop your scout off, however, don’t leave the entrance gate closes at 7:00. Stay and wait or participate!
Saturday 8-29-20 Annual Leadership Meeting- All scouts invited to attend. Location and time TBD.
9-7-20 – No Meeting. Labor Day weekend.
Monday 9-14-20- Court of Honor – Location TBD
Saurday 9-19-20 Biking Activity – Location TBD. This is our back up plan, Woods Canyon Lake fishing campout was scheduled
9-21-20 – No Meeting
9-28-20 – No Meeting – PV Fall Break
Monday 10-5-20 – Troop Meeting, hopefully in person. SPL and PL Elections.
10-16-20 to 10-18-20 Hoover Dam Campout and Canoe Outing – we shall see…
