Committee Chair Mr. Cramer and Scoutmaster Whitney will be leading a high adventure patrol
on a 25-30-mile 3-day 2-night trek through the scenic and rugged Grand Canyon.

Day(1) – We depart Scottsdale at 4:00AM Friday the 26, eating breakfast in Tusayan around 8:00AM. Tip off at 9:00AM hiking down the Hermit Trail, then East on Tonto trail, setting up camp in Monument
Creek, side hike down a slot canyon to the Colorado River – miles for the day approx. 12.1.

Day(2) – Hike to Indian Gardens, set up camp, and take a side hike to Plateau Point, approx. miles
13.7. Day (3) short yet steep hike up and out on Bright Angel trail approx. 5 miles.

Eat a well-deserved hearty lunch at Wendy’s in Tusayan and commute back to Scottsdale, arrival around
5:00PM. This is a true high adventure hike for only the fittest. As they say in the canyon…
