Directions: I-17 North to Camp Verde, Exit 285, turn left on to AZ 260. Travel NE on AZ260 for 25 miles to US 89A in Cottonwood following the signs to Tuzigoot Monument. Turn left on AZ 89A and go NE for 8 miles on Main St. Turn right on FSR 999 (Tuzigoot Rd). After crossing the Verde River bridge, turn left onto Sycamore Rd (FSR131). Go East for 12 miles to the trail head parking lot.
Weather – Low 40s to Mid 70s. Ck updates prior to the outing. Plan accordingly.
Distance: 3.5 mi to camping area. Older scouts can hike further upstream to camp.
Cost – $20 ea.
Meals – Saturday Trail Lunch & dinner. Sunday Breakfast and Trail Lunch to possibly eat while travelling.
Water Source: There is plenty of water along the route. Need to bring ways to purify water shared among crew.
Return: Approx Noon on Sunday. Scout will call parents with updated arrival time.
