Troop 818 will be facilitating our annual Boy Scout Introduction to Leadership skills retreat on Friday August 20th through Sunday August 22nd. Scouts bring your 2022 outing and summer camp ideas as you will be planning the 2022 outing calendar and selecting the 2022 summer camp location. The retreat is open to ALL scouts, especially those who would like to hold a leadership position in the next year. Cost is $15 which includes gas, food and camping fees. Here is the best part: the adults will do all the meal planning, cooking, and clean up!
The Troop 818 Scribe Parker Tellis will be collecting the $15 outing fee and signed permission slips on Monday August 9th and again on Monday August 16th. Please commit early in order to plan for food purchases and transportation. The Troop will leave from St. Bernadette’s Friday at 5:00 PM. We will have dinner in Payson at Pizza Hut, because according to ASPL Alton Rabasca “no-one out pizzas the hut” and push on to Camp Geronimo for the retreat. Scouts will be tent camping outside of the Masik Center and should always be prepared for possible rain or cold temps at night.
A Scout is prepared: Bring nalgene water bottle, rain jacket, scout handbook, pen and paper.
