Flagstaff Extreme - All You Need to Know BEFORE You Go (2024)AMPING & FLAGSTAFF EXTREME

The Troop’s April outing includes two nights of camping in Flagstaff and exciting adventures on the ropes and zipline courses at Flagstaff Extreme. Full details of this adventure are provided in a Troop Event email.

The Ropes Course (12+) has hours of tree-to-tree adventure filled with obstacles, rope swings, scrambling walls, hanging nets, wobbly bridges, and ziplines.  Each circuit is color-coded to indicate increasing challenges based on elevation and difficulty.  Time to completion varies depending on the number of breaks needed, but there’s no time limit on the course as long as it’s completed before sunset!

The Zipline Course (12+) has hours of tree-to-tree adventure as you zipline your way through 32 ziplines suspended 15-80 feet high in the tall Ponderosa Pines.  This is not for the faint of heart and is an active, not “easy”, zipline experience.

The Kids’ Course (ages 7-11) is a ropes challenge consisting of obstacles, ziplines, and ladders.  This course is designed for kids ages 7-11, and all other participants can interact from the ground through encouragement, obstacle shaking (and maybe even some pine cone throwing).

Camping only is also encouraged!  Participation in Flagstaff Extreme activities is not required for the outing.  Come camp in Flagstaff, have fun with the troop, and work on rank advancements.
