Troop 818: Crossover Scout Training Outing
April 30 to May 1, 2022
Troop 818 would like to welcome all of our newest 2022 Scouts along on this fun adventure!
In order to help make the transition from your Cub Scout Pack to your new Boy-led troop as smooth as possible, we are planning an outing just for you. Your Troop Guide Oscar Clifford will
act as your patrol leader and help you prepare for the outing. Quartermaster, Sam MacDonald will be there to help too. They will instruct you on what to pack, how to meal plan, and introduce you to the Patrol method and patrol box.
We are leaving St. Bernadette’s church on Saturday, April 1st at 8:00 AM. Please be at the church at 7:30 AM.
The cost will be $20 for gas and camping fees. Please bring this along with your signed Troop 818 permission form to the April 25th meeting.
We will be camping at Ashurst Lake area on National Forest Lands. It is South of Flagstaff about 20 miles and off of
Lake Mary Road about another 2 to 4 miles.
On Saturday we will have a fun-filled day of activities and learning the Boy Scout way.
We will plan on cooking our lunch and dinner meals and enjoy a Saturday evening campfire as long as fires are allowed.
Get some sleep and then have breakfast as a patrol in the morning. We should be back at the church between 12 noon and 1 pm on Sunday.
Please contact me with questions and for every outing, after this, the Scouts will contact their Patrol Leader or in the beginning their Troop Guide.
