The Scouts did great last Monday with the Taut line Hitch as the Gathering Event at our Troop Meeting. In continuing to learn/stay in practice of the essential Boy Scout Knots, this week’s knot will be the Clove Hitch, which is a very useful, all purpose knot and used frequently in Lashings.
If you are unable to see the image above, the Clove Hitch is demonstrated in your Boy Scout Handbook, in the Chapter called “Tools”.
At this week’s meeting, Scouts will be asked to demonstrate the Clove Hitch knot with a rope they bring, as they enter the Meeting.
