February 21-23: Usery Mountain Regional Park
Exciting news! Our February Outing is just around the corner, and we can’t wait for you to experience desert camping, outdoor skills development, hiking, wildlife viewing, stargazing, and cooking with your fellow scouts!
We’ll be staying in the “Cholla Group Camp E & F” area of the park, which offers portable toilets, fire rings, ramadas, water spigots, and flagpoles. You’ll have the opportunity to work on rank advancements, merit badges, and outdoor skills while enjoying quality time with your patrol.
Important Details:
- We’ll meet at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church back parking lot (by the Troop shed) at 5:00 PM on Friday, Feb 21.
- Please bring your Class A Uniform (no neckerchief), Scout red/black duffle bag, sleeping bag, and pack list items.
- Don’t forget to pack a “Sack Dinner” for the car ride and a “Sack Lunch” for Saturday’s hike!
- We’ll have a group text for each driver to keep your parents informed of our return & pick up status.

Additional Items Recommended for this outing in particular:
- A beanie to protect your head
- Thick and thin Layers – think in 3’s (base/mid/shell)
- Thick socks for sleeping and an extra pair for hiking
