Troop 818 will be facilitating our annual Boy Scout Introduction to Leadership Skills
retreat on Friday August 19th through Sunday August 21st. Scouts bring your 2023
outing idea’s. The retreat is open to ALL scouts, especially those who would like to hold
a leadership position in the next year. Cost is $20 which includes gas, food and
camping fees. Here is the best part, the adults will do all the meal planning, cooking,
and clean up!
The Troop 818 Scribe Aayush will be collecting the $20 outing fee and signed
permission slips on Monday August 8 th and again on Monday August 15 th . Please
commit early to plan for food purchases and transportation. The Troop will leave from
St. Bernadette’s Friday at 5:00 PM. We will have pizza dinner in Payson then push on to
Camp R-C for the retreat. The Troop has rented the Van Ness lodge for the weekend,
be sure to bring a sleeping bag for your bunk bed and towel for showering. We should
be back to the church around noon on Sunday.
A Scout is prepared: Bring nalgene water bottle, rain jacket, scout handbook, pen and
paper. Please bring a camp chair as we will conduct some of the class outside of Van
Ness.
