February Ski Outing
Troop 818 will go on our annual ski outing to Sunrise Park Resort in Greer, AZ, leaving Scottsdale on Friday 2/17 and returning on Sunday 2/19. Scouts will have the opportunity to ski or snowboard for the full day on Saturday 2/18. They can rent equipment and/or take lessons. If you would like to go, please contact Mrs. MacDonald.
Details:
* Outing fee: Will be calculated to include lodging, gas, lift ticket, and equipment and/or lessons if needed
* Departure Friday 2/17 at 4pm from St. Bernadette’s
* Bring money for Friday dinner (stop in Payson), and Saturday lunch on the slopes
* We will stay at Edelweiss Resort in Greer
* We will arrive back in Phoenix around 1:00 – 2:00pm. Scouts will text parents when we are about 30 minutes out from St. Bernadette’s. All parents must pick scouts up as we arrive back to St. Bernadette’s
Scouts to remember to pack:
1. Sleeping bag, pad, and pillow
2. Bathroom items and towel for shower
3. Warm clothes and ski clothes
a. Goggles, long underwear, socks for ski boots and regular socks, snowpants, jacket, gloves, beanie hat (for under helmet)
4. Water bottle and snacks
5. Money or food for 1. Friday dinner 2. Saturday lunch or snack 3.Sunday lunch
6. Sunscreen (sunburn and windburn are brutal)
7. Equipment if you are bringing it.
